Privacy policy

Last updated: August 30, 2026

Kansha is a Shopify app that shows a one-question survey on the Thank you page and the Order status page of a merchant's store, and collects the answers for that merchant. This policy describes everything the app stores.

What Kansha stores

From the store

From buyers

Kansha does not request or store buyer names, email addresses, shipping addresses, payment details, or the contents of an order. The app requests no Shopify access scopes at all, so it cannot read products, customers, or orders.

Free-text answers are written by buyers and can contain whatever a buyer types, including personal information. Merchants decide what question to ask and are responsible for it.

Why it is stored

Sharing

Kansha does not sell, rent, or share this data with third parties. There is no analytics, tracking, or advertising code in the app or in the block shown to buyers.

Data is stored on Cloudflare (Workers and D1), which acts as a processor on our behalf.

Retention and deletion

Answers are kept until they are deleted through one of the requests below, or until the app is uninstalled. Kansha handles Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks:

If you answered a survey

If you are a buyer and want your answer removed, contact the store you bought from. They can request deletion through Shopify, and Kansha deletes the answer when that request arrives.
